How much are your Ops worth? How do you turn them into real money or gift cards? We explain both conversion rates (shop vs withdrawal), thresholds, fees and the most profitable method for your profile — no fluff.
What is an Ops?
Ops are the internal currency of Microtaches. Every completed and validated mission credits you a number of Ops shown upfront — no surprise, no hidden pricing. Your balance updates live on your dashboard and transaction history.
Ops are not a cryptocurrency: they have no value outside Microtaches and cannot be resold. But they are convertible at any time via two mechanisms.

The gap is simple to explain: a bank transfer triggers fixed banking fees, anti-money-laundering checks (KYC), a regulatory €2,500 annual cap and tax reporting obligations (EU DAC7 directive). An Amazon gift card is delivered by e-mail within minutes, with no fees and no paperwork.
Option 1 — Convert to gift cards (most profitable)
In the Microtaches shop, you'll find digital gift cards delivered within minutes by e-mail: Amazon, Netflix, Spotify, Steam, Uber Eats, Decathlon, Sephora, Fnac, Cultura and more brands depending on your country.
- No minimum threshold (from the smallest available card).

Concrete example: with 6,100 Ops you get a €50 Amazon card. The same €50 by bank transfer would cost you about 11,905 Ops — almost twice as much.
Option 2 — SEPA bank withdrawal
If you prefer real money in your bank account, it's available — but the framework is strict.
- Minimum balance: 15,000 Ops (5,000 available + 10,000 untouchable reserve).
- Minimum request: 5,000 Ops per transfer (about €21).
- Mandatory KYC before first transfer (ID + proof of address).
- Fixed fee of 800 Ops for transfers outside the extended European zone.
- Annual cap per user: €2,500 (anti-money-laundering regulation).
- Processing time: usually 3 to 7 business days after validation.
The 10,000 Ops reserve is not lost: it stays on your account, keeps generating gamification bonuses, and remains spendable in the shop. It exists only to smooth anti-fraud logic and guarantee an activity history.
Which option fits your profile?
Student, young worker, freelancer on the side
→ Gift cards. You save on spending you'd do anyway (Amazon, Netflix, groceries), avoid KYC paperwork and tax filings, and recover 2× more value per Ops.
Looking for a real monthly side income
→ Mix both. Convert small balances into gift cards for recurring spending, and let a larger balance accumulate for a quarterly or biannual bank transfer — you stay well below the DAC7 threshold.
Above the €2,500 annual cap
→ Gift cards only beyond the cap. The €2,500 cap applies to bank transfers only, not to shop conversions.
Taxes: do I need to declare?
Yes, from the first euro. Whether you receive a bank transfer or a gift card, income earned on Microtaches is taxable income in France (BNC or micro-BNC regime). Microtaches automatically reports the relevant amounts to French tax authorities under the EU DAC7 directive beyond the legal thresholds (€2,000 or 30 transactions per year).

- €0.0082 in the shop (gift cards, products) and €0.0042 on SEPA bank withdrawal. Both rates are public and listed in the terms of service.
- Why is the rate different between shop and bank transfer?
- A bank transfer triggers fixed banking fees, KYC checks, tax reporting obligations and a regulatory annual cap. Gift cards have none of these constraints, so the value returned is nearly double.
- What's the minimum amount to withdraw in euros?
- 5,000 Ops per request, with a minimum 15,000 Ops balance (including a 10,000 Ops reserve that remains usable in the shop).
- Do Amazon gift cards expire?
- Amazon.fr gift cards are valid for 10 years from issuance. Other brands vary — the expiry date is always shown in the delivery e-mail.
- What happens if I exceed the €2,500 annual cap?
- Your bank transfers are blocked until next January 1st. But you can keep converting Ops into gift cards without limit.
- Can I sell my Ops to another worker?
- No. Ops are strictly personal and non-transferable — any attempt triggers immediate account suspension.
- Can I suggest a product or a gift card to add to the shop?
- Yes. From the shop, every worker can suggest a product, a gift card, a brand or a partner e-commerce. If the request makes sense, Microtaches adds it to the catalogue for everyone. You can also request the integration of a specific product you need (pro equipment, subscription, hardware).
- Am I allowed to resell products or gift cards bought in the shop?
- Yes. Nothing prevents you from reselling products or gift cards obtained in the Microtaches shop to grow your own business (drop, reseller, client gifts) and scale your income. Just remember to declare that commercial income if it becomes regular.
