Ipsos iSay review: surveys, rewards, PayPal and limits in France

This Ipsos iSay review explains the French panel’s rewards, survey screen-outs and rules to check before signing up. See why points do not always have the same euro value, what app ratings actually tell you and whether this panel belongs alongside your other online activities.

Ipsos iSay review: surveys, rewards, PayPal and limits in France

Looking for an Ipsos iSay review that goes beyond “legit or scam”? The more useful questions concern the reward you can actually redeem, the time you spend getting there and the personal information you provide along the way. An established survey panel can be legitimate without being worthwhile for every participant.

This guide focuses on the French catalog and membership rules, checked in November. The euro amounts below are not US reward thresholds. We separate gift cards, PayPal and donations because their point requirements are different. For a broader comparison of survey platforms, start with our guide to legitimate paid surveys and payout thresholds.

These figures answer different questions. Worldwide membership indicates the panel’s scale, not how many surveys you will receive or what you will earn. Reward thresholds are more practical: they show what a particular balance can buy. A store gift card and PayPal funds also serve different needs, even when their advertised amounts look similar.

Is Ipsos iSay legit, and who runs the panel?

Ipsos iSay belongs to the Ipsos Group. Ipsos was founded in France in 1975 and has been listed on Euronext Paris since July 1, 1999, according to the Ipsos announcement published through Euronext. There is an identifiable organization behind the service, not just a promotional page or messaging account.

The French terms name Ipsos Interactive Services SRL, part of the Ipsos Group, as the panel operator. That identification is a meaningful positive: you can see who manages membership and read the participation rules. The French membership FAQ also states that participation is entirely free, with no hidden costs.

The service has an established operator. That does not guarantee that you can complete every survey you are invited to take or that participation will always go smoothly. A stock-market listing is not a guarantee of immediate point credits. Judge the panel’s day-to-day usefulness separately, through its screening rules, reward options and treatment of your personal information.

How do you sign up for the French panel?

The French terms and conditions require residence in France and a minimum age of 16. They also allow the operator to refuse membership without providing a reason. Meeting the stated criteria therefore does not guarantee admission. Check the panel’s country before spending time on the registration process.

Use accurate information and update it when your circumstances change. Your profile helps identify suitable survey participants. However, the French “Earning points” FAQ says that completing or updating your profile does not earn points. Treat it as useful account information, not an automatic welcome bonus.

Ipsos iSay offers a website and an app for iOS and Android, according to its mobile FAQ. Its survey FAQ lists email, app, browser and SMS notifications. Choose the channels you will actually use. Members are free to decide which surveys to take; an invitation does not create an obligation to participate.

How much can you earn from Ipsos iSay surveys?

Surveys award points that you can exchange for available rewards. The French “Earning points” FAQ says the point amount is shown before you start and varies according to factors including survey length. There is no single payment amount you can apply to every invitation.

A representative French monthly income or hourly rate is not disclosed in the available official sources. Neither is a guaranteed timeline for reaching a reward. Survey availability varies by day, country and profile. Receiving an invitation is not the same as completing the survey and having its points credited.

Your time matters as much as your point balance

When deciding whether the panel suits you, track time spent on completed surveys, interrupted attempts and checking invitations. Compare that effort with rewards you can actually redeem. A gift card’s face value is not an hourly wage, and identical reward catalogs can produce very different experiences for different participants.

Ipsos iSay’s French earnings article explicitly says paid surveys do not replace a salary. Keep participation optional. If screening interruptions become more frustrating than the rewards are useful, scale back rather than chasing a balance. For another panel to evaluate on its own terms, read our Toluna review.

An adult in a French home compares a gift-card-shaped object with a smartphone, with a closed personal document folder nearby.
Choosing a useful reward matters as much as collecting points.

How much are your survey points worth in euros?

The answer depends on the reward. The official Ipsos iSay France reward catalog, checked in November, lists several gift cards with the same points-to-face-value relationship. Face value means the spending amount printed on the reward. It does not establish a universal cash conversion for your entire balance.

For example, the French listings checked in November show that 1,000 points can redeem a €10 Amazon gift card. That balance is not enough for the listed €15 PayPal reward, which requires 1,527 points. Do not estimate a future PayPal payment using the Amazon conversion. Check the specific option you intend to request.

The best reward is one you will genuinely use. A card for a store where you already shop can be practical; a larger card is not automatically better if it encourages unnecessary spending. Read the redemption restrictions before confirming. The advertised amount alone does not tell you everything about where or how it can be used.

Does Ipsos iSay pay through PayPal or gift cards?

PayPal is listed in the French reward catalog. The official reward page checked in November offers €15 for 1,527 points and requires your PayPal email address to match your Ipsos iSay account email. Check that match before redeeming. A threshold advertised for another country should not be applied to France.

Point requirements depend on the rewardSources: Ipsos iSay France homepage and reward catalog, plus the €15 PayPal reward page, checked in November. Bars represent rewards of different values, not fees. The €2 donation is not a personal withdrawal.

The French rewards and redemption FAQ advertises instant email delivery of digital gift cards, prepaid cards and PayPal funds. However, receiving an email and having funds credited are different steps. Follow the instructions in the message rather than treating email delivery alone as proof of an immediate account credit.

The same FAQ requires activation within the 90 days stated in the email. That activation window is not necessarily the reward’s validity period after activation. Check your inbox and spam folder, then retain the message and reward conditions until you have used the reward.

According to the FAQ, instant-delivery card redemptions cannot be canceled, refunded or exchanged. Check the brand and amount before confirming, especially if you have been saving toward a particular purchase. For a separate look at another survey option, see our AttaPoll review.

Why do you get screened out of a survey?

A screen-out means your participation ends before completion. Ipsos iSay’s official article on survey disqualification lists several possible reasons: not meeting the target criteria, a participant quota already being filled, or inconsistent answers. A quota is the number of participants needed from a particular group.

An invitation therefore does not guarantee final eligibility. Opening questions may establish whether your situation fits the study. Alternatively, enough people with similar characteristics may already have participated. That does not mean your opinion has no value. It means this particular survey has specific recruitment needs.

  • Profile mismatch: accept the screen-out without changing your circumstances to fit.
  • Filled quota: the study may no longer need another participant from your group.
  • Inconsistent answers: read carefully and answer truthfully, not according to what seems desirable.
  • Missing credit: distinguish a completed survey from an interrupted attempt before contacting support.

Do not budget for automatic compensation after every screen-out: a systematic French compensation schedule is not confirmed. For completed surveys, the “Earning points” FAQ generally mentions credit within a few minutes, while the survey FAQ allows for a few days. Check your history and keep useful survey references if a credit appears missing.

Do points expire, and are prize draws worth counting?

The French rewards FAQ says points do not expire while you remain active. However, unused points are forfeited when membership ends, becomes inactive or is deactivated. “Points never expire” would leave out an important condition. Their continued availability depends on your account remaining active under the panel’s rules.

The exact inactivity period that triggers this loss remains something to check on the official website. Before leaving the panel, review your balance and redemption options. Holding points indefinitely is not necessarily useful, especially if a change in your circumstances could leave a preferred reward out of reach.

The Daily Prize Wheel is still a chance-based extra

An official October announcement, checked in November, describes automatic entry into a draw when the Daily Prize Wheel awards no points. It announces 5 winners receiving 10,000 points each. Source: Ipsos iSay France, “Daily Prize Wheel.” Those are the announced prizes, not enough information to calculate your chance of winning.

Check the applicable rules for closing dates and whether the promotion continues. Keep draw entries separate from points already credited: an entry is not an earned reward. Likewise, do not rely on an old loyalty schedule without current French rules. Our YouGov review offers another panel comparison.

What do Ipsos iSay reviews and ratings really show?

App-store ratings can be useful, but their scope matters. The French-language Ipsos iSay Google Play listing, checked in November, displays 4.6/5 and “150k reviews.” That count is not identified as France-only. A page displayed in French does not automatically represent only participants living in France.

Sources: French Apple App Store storefront, French-language Google Play listing and French-language Trustpilot profile for www.ipsosisay.com, checked in November. Populations and counters differ. Trustpilot states a breach of its guidelines; its rating is unavailable.

Apple’s French App Store storefront also displays 4.6/5, from “4.5k ratings,” checked in November. These scores reflect the application and the experiences of people who choose to rate it. They do not measure average earnings, survey completion rates or how quickly someone with your profile can redeem a preferred reward.

Trustpilot currently hides the rating because of a breach of its guidelines, according to the profile checked in November. An older score should not be presented as current. The warning matters, but it does not establish that the panel is a scam or identify responsibility for problematic reviews. Look for specific descriptions of experiences, not stars alone.

What personal data are you sharing with the panel?

A survey panel needs information about participants to select suitable respondents. The Ipsos iSay personal data FAQ explains that age and gender are used for survey selection. It states that supplied information is used exclusively for research purposes. That stated purpose does not mean no personal information is collected.

On Google Play, the developer declares that the app may share personal and financial information with third parties, among other categories. That disclosure and the stated research purpose address different questions. Read the full privacy policy for recipients, retention and possible transfers rather than assuming participation is completely anonymous.

The FAQ recognizes a right of access, allowing you to request a copy of held personal data, and a right to correct it. Keep your profile accurate and reconsider participation if questions make you uncomfortable. Our guide to GDPR and platform data security explains the basics. GDPR is the European regulation governing personal data use.

Also distinguish legitimate account information from an outside scam attempt. Requests for fees, deposits, passwords or secret codes are warning signs. If someone asks you to move outside the platform to unlock earnings, stop the conversation and check through your official account. A normal survey screen-out is a different issue.

Good habits and warning signsA suspicious outside request should not be confused with ordinary survey disqualification.
  • Good sign:You read the conditions on the official website for your country.
  • Good sign:You use a unique password and check messages before following links.
  • Good sign:You read privacy and reward rules before participating.
  • Warning sign:Someone asks you to pay fees to access earnings.
  • Warning sign:Someone asks you to recharge an account or deposit money to unlock a payment.
  • Warning sign:Someone requests a password, secret code or code received by SMS.
  • Warning sign:Someone asks you to continue outside the platform through WhatsApp or Telegram.

Can you join the panel from an African country?

The French panel requires residence in France. Speaking French is not enough to join that version from another country. Ipsos iSay’s official About Us page reports a presence in more than 50 countries, checked in November. However, a worldwide presence is not a list of countries currently accepting new members.

An official French-language website exists for Morocco, according to the Ipsos iSay Morocco homepage. That is a reason to consult the Moroccan version, not to apply French rewards to Moroccan residents. Local membership terms, thresholds and payment options need to be checked separately. No iSay mobile money payout is confirmed here.

For Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire or Cameroon, not having an identified recruitment page does not prove permanent unavailability. Check local recruitment and residence rules rather than assuming either acceptance or exclusion. Our LifePoints review provides another comparison. For every service, evaluate country access separately from rewards; neither should be generalized across Africa.

Where does Microtaches fit as an alternative or complement?

Microtaches can complement a survey panel if you would also like to explore short tasks. Registration is free, each account is approved by the team, and completing the profile questionnaire is mandatory. Finishing the profile earns a 10 Ops bonus. Ops is Microtaches’ earnings unit. Task availability varies by day, country and profile, so adding another platform does not ensure regular activity.

Ipsos iSay sources: French Joining and Membership and Earning Points FAQs, reward catalog and PayPal page, checked in November. Microtaches source: operating, conversion, identity and withdrawal rules. ✓ = yes; ✗ = no. The earnings units are not interchangeable.

Microtaches responses are checked manually or automatically before Ops are credited. A careless response can be rejected. An accepted task must be completed within 60 minutes, with no more than 3 tasks in progress. You can abandon it without penalty during the first 10 minutes; expiration without a response deducts 20 Ops. Read the displayed instructions before accepting, and only commit when you can give the task your attention.

How do Microtaches withdrawals work for readers in France?

For withdrawals, 1 Ops equals €0.0042. The minimum withdrawal is 5,000 Ops, or €21, with a nonwithdrawable reserve of 10,000 Ops. Your balance must therefore reach 15,000 Ops for a first withdrawal of 5,000 Ops. Bank transfer is available at that minimum using your IBAN, your bank account identifier. Transfers outside Europe carry a fixed fee of 800 Ops, or €3.36. In the shop, 1,000 Ops represents €8.20 in gift-card value. Our Ops-to-euros and gift-card conversion guide explains the distinction.

Microtaches withdrawal methods

Your Ops can be withdrawn to a bank account, a mobile money account or an online wallet. Bank transfer is available from the usual minimum; MVola, Orange Money, Wave, MTN MoMo, PayPal, Skrill and Neteller are available from 25,000 Ops; Revolut and Crypto are coming soon. In France and French-speaking readers comparing withdrawals with gift-card rewards, mobile money is often the most convenient option.

Methods shown on the Withdrawals page of your Microtaches account. Countries listed are examples where the service is common.

MVola, Orange Money, Wave, MTN MoMo, PayPal, Skrill and Neteller are available from 25,000 Ops. Revolut and Crypto are marked as coming soon, without a date. The receiving account must be in your name, matching your verified identity document. Identity verification, or KYC, becomes accessible at a balance of 1,000 Ops. It requires identification and proof of address, is processed within a maximum of 7 business days, and must be completed before your first withdrawal or shop order.

A withdrawal can take up to 3 weeks after the request is approved; shop orders can take up to 2 weeks. Microtaches also applies an internal withdrawal cap of €2,500 per year per worker. These conditions make it unsuitable for an urgent cash need. Compare the withdrawal route you actually want, not just the conversion value. For another service to consider separately, read our Prolific review. Your practical choice should reflect access, available activity and the rules displayed.

Our verdict: an established panel, best used selectively

Ipsos iSay is worth considering if you accept screen-outs and find rewards you will genuinely use. Its operator is identified and French reward thresholds are available. However, surveys do not provide a salary, points depend on account status, and the Trustpilot warning deserves attention. Microtaches can be a complement, with its own validation and withdrawal conditions.

Frequently asked questions

Is Ipsos iSay legitimate or a scam?
Ipsos iSay belongs to the Ipsos Group, and its French terms identify the panel operator. Participation is advertised as free. These facts establish an identifiable service, not a perfect experience for everyone. Trustpilot hides its rating because of a breach of its guidelines, according to the November check, but that warning alone does not prove the panel is a scam.
Is joining free, and how old do you need to be?
The French FAQ states that participation is entirely free, with no hidden costs. The French panel’s terms require residence in France and a minimum age of 16. The operator may refuse membership. According to the French Earning Points FAQ, completing or updating your profile does not earn points, so do not expect an automatic profile bonus.
How much can you earn per month with Ipsos iSay?
A representative French monthly earnings figure is not disclosed in the available official sources. Survey points vary according to factors including length, and not every invitation can be completed. Availability varies by day, country and profile. Ipsos iSay explicitly says survey rewards do not replace a salary. Evaluate your own time spent against rewards you can actually redeem.
How much are 1,000 Ipsos iSay points worth in euros?
In the French catalog checked in November, 1,000 points can redeem a €10 Amazon gift card or a €10 virtual prepaid Visa card. That relationship does not automatically apply to every reward. The listed PayPal option requires 1,527 points for €15. Read the particular reward page before redeeming rather than treating points as a universal cash balance.
Can you receive Ipsos iSay rewards through PayPal?
Yes. The French PayPal reward page checked in November lists €15 for 1,527 points. It requires your PayPal email address to match the email used for your Ipsos iSay account. Do not apply another country’s threshold to France. Check the reward’s availability and conditions again when you are ready to request it.
How long does it take to receive a reward?
The French rewards FAQ advertises instant email delivery of digital gift cards, prepaid cards and PayPal funds. Email delivery should not be confused with proof of an immediate account credit. The FAQ also requires activation within the 90 days stated in the message. Follow the received instructions and check your spam folder if the email is missing.
Why am I screened out, and do I still receive points?
Ipsos iSay’s official screening article lists a profile mismatch, a filled participant quota and inconsistent answers as possible causes. An invitation does not guarantee completion. A systematic French compensation schedule for every screen-out is not confirmed. Check the result shown and your account history, and do not alter your profile to try to pass screening.
Do Ipsos iSay points expire?
The French FAQ says points do not expire while a member remains active. However, unused points are forfeited when membership ends, becomes inactive or is deactivated. The exact inactivity period needs to be checked on the official website. Review your balance and available redemptions before leaving the panel rather than assuming unused points will remain accessible.
How do Ipsos iSay prize draws work?
The official Daily Prize Wheel announcement checked in November describes automatic entry into a draw when the wheel awards no points. It announces 5 winners receiving 10,000 points each. Winning probabilities, closing dates and the promotion’s continued availability need to be checked in the applicable rules. A draw entry is not a reward already earned.
Can you join Ipsos iSay from an African country?
The French panel requires residence in France. An official localized website exists for Morocco, but its membership rules and rewards must be reviewed separately. Current recruitment in other African countries needs to be checked on the official website. Neither universal African access nor an Ipsos iSay mobile money payout method is confirmed here.
