Prime Opinion: surveys, points and first cash-out
Prime Opinion is a paid survey service: you answer questionnaires, and validated participation builds a balance redeemable under your account’s conditions. To decide whether it suits you, separate how it works from payment eligibility and privacy. A visible balance is neither a salary nor a guarantee that you can withdraw it.

To decide whether it suits you, separate how it works from payment eligibility and privacy. A visible balance is neither a salary nor a guarantee that you can withdraw it.
Variable information is marked as checked in November. The comparison covers survey panels and, separately, short micro-tasks. These are different models, not interchangeable ways of earning money, and neither should be treated as a guaranteed source of income.

Prime Opinion: how does an activity become a payment?
To understand Prime Opinion, distinguish three elements: the activity offered, the balance and the reward. The first describes what you can do; the second shows what has been recognised; the third sets the conditions for using that balance. Moving between them is not automatic. A prominent number or points counter does not, by itself, establish whether you will be able to receive anything.
Withdrawal conditions must be checked on Prime Opinion’s official page and in your account. Check the threshold, currency, rewards and receiving requirements before starting. A French-language page or an offer shown to a friend does not establish that the same conditions apply to your account.
Start by reviewing conditions rather than rushing to reach a target. If the threshold, reward type or recipient requirements are unclear, ask before spending more time on the service. It is easier to decline an unsuitable offer before collecting points than to discover afterwards that a gift card does not cover anything you intended to buy.
Keep benefits separate from spending, too. A discount remains tied to a purchase; it does not become income because it appears beside a points counter. Likewise, a gift card’s face value should not be treated as a bank transfer. To compare two options, first choose the same outcome: money actually received, or savings on a purchase you had already planned to make.
- 1Activity
Read the offer and instructions before starting.
- 2Balance
Check what was actually credited; pending and validated are different states.
- 3Reward
Check the points cost or threshold, country and recipient.
- 4Receipt
Separate a submitted request from money or a code actually received.
What should you check before spending time on Prime Opinion?
Reliability has several dimensions. An identifiable operator and public help pages are useful, but they do not establish that your profile will receive enough opportunities or that every attempt will succeed. Base your decision on observable conditions: access, validation, redemption and receipt. Avoid absolute conclusions drawn from a single positive review or one interrupted activity.
A cautious trial means ordinary use without extra purchases or artificially changing your profile. Record all the time spent checking offers, completing an activity and checking its result. This distinguishes something enjoyable in its own right from something you would do only for the reward. You do not need to turn every break into a financial target or chase a balance because you have already spent time collecting it.
Before requesting payment, check the recipient details and receiving provider’s rules. An option advertised by an app does not establish that your bank account or wallet can receive it. Never select a false country to reveal a different offer. Access problems should be taken to support rather than bypassed with another account or a VPN.
If a result is missing, gather only what support needs: the date, relevant activity, displayed status and request reference if one exists. Do not send confidential questionnaire content or login codes. A screenshot can explain an incident, but hide unnecessary personal information. Use the contact route provided by the official service, not a private message promising to unlock your earnings.
Finally, decide on the basis of your own use. A service can be genuine without being worthwhile for you. An unsuitable catalogue, permissions you do not want to grant or excessive time spent are sufficient reasons to stop. Compare the other reviews linked in this article using the same criteria, rather than looking for a universal monthly earnings figure. Keep money received separate from rewards that are still pending.
| Check | Do not assume | |
|---|---|---|
| Before the activity | Instructions and availability | Invitation = earned reward |
| After the activity | Actual balance credit | Counter = available cash |
| Before redemption | Reward conditions | Same threshold in every country |
| After requesting | Confirmation of receipt | Request sent = money received |
Editorial decision checklist: these checks do not guarantee earnings.
For a different comparison, see our guide to paid surveys in Belgium. Compare the conditions in your own account rather than transferring a threshold between countries.
Prime Opinion review: who operates it, and is it trustworthy?
The official contact page identifies Prime Opinion AB, c/o Prime Insights AB, Sveavägen 17, 111 57 Stockholm, Sweden. The footer describes the service as a product of Prime Insights AB. That gives users a verifiable contact identity, but it does not guarantee each payout or the suitability of every survey. An identifiable operator and a satisfactory individual experience are separate considerations.
The help centre documents reward claims, screening and account restrictions. This makes it easier to identify the relevant process, but the documentation is still written by the provider. In this review, trustworthiness therefore means an identifiable service with accessible published rules, subject to checking the practical conditions before building a balance.
Use observable evidence to assess your experience: the displayed catalogue, any balance deduction, the reward email, actual receipt and the support response. Public reviews can suggest questions to investigate, not establish your future outcome. Our guide to choosing legitimate paid survey sites offers a framework you can apply across panels rather than relying on a headline rating.
Which countries does Prime Opinion list?
The official country and language selector includes French-language entries for France, Belgium, Canada and Switzerland, plus French and Arabic entries for Morocco. It also lists the United States and the United Kingdom. These are local entry points observed during our November check, not promises about survey volumes or access to every payment option. A country listing and a useful local reward catalogue are different things.
For Madagascar, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon and Senegal, ask support to confirm eligibility rather than selecting a false residence. A French-language interface does not establish access for every French-speaking country. Check the country, account currency and reward options before completing your first questionnaire, especially if you arrive through a shared promotional link.
The minimum-age help page requires users to be at least 18. The one-account policy prohibits additional accounts for the same person. If you have lost access, recover the account or contact support. A second account is not an acceptable way to obtain more invitations, restart an offer or get around a restriction; it can only make the underlying problem harder to resolve.
How do surveys and points work?
According to the survey rewards help page, Featured Surveys lists available questionnaires with their duration, points and survey rating. The full advertised reward is earned by successfully completing the questionnaire through to the end. Opening an invitation does not automatically secure those points. Keep invitation, qualification, successful completion and actual credit separate when you review your activity; they describe different stages rather than the same event.
The displayed duration helps you choose, but your own time record should include screening and unsuccessful attempts. Record the whole session and then the points actually added to the balance. Do not apply an assumed universal points-to-cash rate from another review: your catalogue, currency and reward type must support the calculation. A gift card that offsets a planned purchase has a different use from money you can receive and withdraw.
The no-surveys help page explains that inventory changes throughout the day and may be lower on weekends or holidays. An empty list is therefore not evidence of an account restriction. Check again later rather than refreshing repeatedly. For a survey that will not open, the provider suggests trying another questionnaire and sending support a screenshot if the problem continues. Keep the survey reference when it is visible.
Why do surveys screen you out?
A screen-out means a questionnaire ends because your profile does not match the study’s requirements. The official screening guide mentions age, location, occupation and particular habits or opinions. Qualifying for a similar topic previously does not secure admission to the next study, because each project may need a different respondent group. This is not a judgement about the value of your opinions, and changing your answers to fit is not a solution.
Prime Opinion says an ordinary screen-out is not a penalty and does not affect account standing. It also does not count towards a participation streak. The guide separately identifies rushed, copied or offensive responses as avoidable problems. Distinguish an unwanted demographic profile, which you cannot honestly change to suit a study, from response quality, which you can improve. A rejection does not tell you which of those explanations applies unless the service specifies it.
| What you can do | |
|---|---|
| Profile outside the target | Accept the rejection; do not invent an occupation or age. |
| Rushed responses | Read each question carefully. |
| Copied or low-effort text | Answer personally and in sufficient detail. |
| VPN or proxy | Use your genuine connection and residence. |
| Unstable shared connection | Prefer a stable connection. |
| Question feels too personal | Decline if necessary, accepting possible rejection. |
Source: Prime Opinion, Screened out, checked in November. Qualitative factors, not measured rejection probabilities.
How can you reduce avoidable screen-outs without cheating?
Choose a quiet session with enough time for the questionnaire you select. Answer according to your real circumstances and read instructions carefully, especially where a question has several conditions. Keep your profile consistent with genuine changes in employment or household circumstances. Consistency does not mean memorising invented responses: it means describing the same real situation attentively, including when two questions appear similar but are not asking exactly the same thing.
The help page recommends avoiding VPNs and proxies, using a stable connection, and writing original, detailed free-text answers. Follow those recommendations without expecting guaranteed qualification. Even an accurately completed profile may not fit the available studies. If several attempts lead nowhere, stop the session rather than rewriting your circumstances to force admission. Set a personal time limit in advance so that an unfinished balance does not become a reason to keep trying indefinitely.
Privacy comes before a reward. You may decide that a question does not justify the requested disclosure. Prime Opinion says choosing not to answer will usually result in screening out; that is not an obligation to disclose. Establish boundaries before starting, particularly for highly personal information, and be willing to leave a questionnaire when those boundaries are crossed. A small reward is not sufficient reason to abandon a privacy choice you would otherwise make.
- Good sign:Genuine residence and an honest profile
- Good sign:Stable connection, without a VPN or proxy
- Good sign:Enough time to read the questions
- Good sign:Clear privacy boundaries
- Warning sign:Copied answers or an invented profile
- Warning sign:Another account to bypass a restriction
Prime Opinion payments: what is the first cash-out minimum?
The official minimum cash-out page requires a balance of at least $5 for the first claim. That requirement applies even if your selected reward has a lower minimum. After the first claim, each reward has its own threshold. Do not confuse the minimum denomination of a catalogue item with the balance required to unlock your first redemption; the first-claim rule is an additional condition.
The same page says the currency you receive depends on your account country. The $5 figure is therefore the wording of the English-language help page, not a €5 withdrawal rule to apply to a French account. Check your local catalogue for the applicable amount, points cost and conditions of the selected payment method. An exchange-rate calculation does not establish the provider’s local commercial rule or the amount your account requires.
The service presents PayPal and gift cards among its rewards. Its delivery guide also mentions Revolut and bank transfer as examples requiring destination account details. This does not establish their availability in every country. Check that your chosen provider allows you to receive money where you live and that the reward is usable for you. A large catalogue described on a general page is not proof of the contents of your individual account.

How long does a reward take to arrive?
The reward delivery guide starts with an email sent to your account address after claiming. That message contains instructions to complete redemption. Some methods require details of the receiving account. The process may therefore continue after you press the claim button: locate the message, check that it is genuine and complete the stated steps before concluding that the payment is overdue. Keep the confirmation rather than relying only on the balance screen.
Prime Opinion says some payments often complete within 30 minutes, while timing depends on the method and the bank or payment provider. This is neither a guaranteed maximum nor a promise covering every claim. Do not assume every payment is instant. Keep the claim, completion of redemption and receipt at the destination separate in your records; each tells you something different about the stage reached.
If a reward is late, gather the date, reference, selected method and message received, masking unnecessary personal information. The help guide asks users to contact support with claim details when delivery is taking longer than expected for that method. Avoid repeatedly submitting claims without understanding the first one’s status. Never disclose passwords, login codes or full banking credentials to an unverified contact, even when a message appears to be offering help.
- 1Check your local catalogue
Choose a reward you can actually use in your country and record its points cost.
- 2Check the first-claim balance
Help requires at least $5; verify the displayed rule in your account currency.
- 3Request the reward
Keep the claim reference and the requested amount.
- 4Open the official reward email
Complete the instructions and check destination details carefully.
- 5Confirm receipt
Check the receiving account or delivered code; contact support with the reference if needed.
Account under review, on hold or banned: what should you check?
The account restrictions guide distinguishes checks that members are real people from holds awaiting client feedback on response quality. Activity is paused during a review; the guide says reviews usually take a few hours and may prompt mobile-number verification in the profile. That is a typical indication, not a universal contractual deadline and not proof of a permanent ban. Read the actual account message before deciding what has happened.
For a quality-feedback hold, the guide says the account remains on hold until a date communicated by the service. Ask for the precise status if your message is unclear. Confirm the full list of permanent-ban grounds, point-forfeiture rules and appeal rights directly with Prime Opinion before accumulating a substantial balance. Those matters need confirmation from Prime Opinion rather than assumptions based on a different user’s account experience.
The practical response is straightforward: save the message, complete only the official verification requested, and contact support if access does not return. Do not create a replacement account or artificially change countries. A survey screen-out, a verification pause and an account closure are not synonyms. Treating them as the same event produces misleading conclusions, whether the aim is to praise the service or criticise it. Ask which status applies to your own account.
What data should you share, and how can you protect your privacy?
Read the official privacy policy and terms pages before consenting. Check data recipients, retention periods, international transfers and each partner’s responsibilities. Read the documents through your own browser and country version before consenting, and request clarification if the explanation does not answer your question. A visible policy link is not a substitute for readable information.
Apply these general data-protection precautions. Use a unique password and an email address you monitor. Before answering a sensitive question, consider whether the requested detail is necessary for participation and acceptable to you. Do not post screenshots containing contact details, personal responses or payment references in a public group when asking for help. Share only the information needed through a verified support channel.
Also separate survey participation from payment access: a receiving address is not a wallet password. If documentation is requested, check the official address or account area, the purpose and the instructions before sending it. You can decide to stop participating when the available information is insufficient for a comfortable decision. An existing points balance should not pressure you into a disclosure you would otherwise reject; the time already spent does not make a new privacy compromise worthwhile.
Prime Opinion review compared with AttaPoll, Toluna and LifePoints
The table compares three alternatives already covered on the blog with thresholds to check locally. AttaPoll’s PayPal guide publishes an approximate $3 minimum depending on country; its current help page says thresholds and options appear in the app. That approximate reference is not a guaranteed French minimum. For Toluna, confirm the threshold in your account before relying on a specific amount.
LifePoints’ French rewards page confirms PayPal and gift cards, but check your account for the minimum for a payment received by the member. It mentions charitable donations starting at €1. A donation is not a cash-out and is therefore excluded from our cash-out chart. Keeping those categories separate avoids an attractive but misleading comparison between a usable member payout and an amount directed to a charity.
| Published or unverified threshold | Documented methods | Availability check | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prime Opinion | First claim: balance ≥ $5; later by reward | PayPal, gift cards; others by catalogue | Official selector; local currency and catalogue |
| AttaPoll | Around $3 by country; exact amount in app | PayPal and gift cards | Options and threshold displayed in app |
| Toluna | Check your account | Check the reward catalogue | Check the local account |
| LifePoints | Check the member payout minimum in your account | PayPal, gift cards | French page; verify local catalogue |

For more context, read our AttaPoll review, Toluna analysis and LifePoints guide. Our YouGov review and MyPoints article offer additional reading, not locally verified figures to copy without checking. The right choice starts with a reward you can use and the actual time required to reach it, rather than the smallest advertised minimum alone.
Is Microtaches an alternative to survey panels?
Microtaches offers short micro-tasks with instructions displayed in each task, a different model from a survey panel. Registration is free and limited to adults under the legal age of majority in their country; the team reviews and approves each account. A profile questionnaire must be completed. Availability varies by day, country and profile, so registration does not create a predictable stream of work or turn the service into a replacement for stable employment.
An accepted task must be completed within 60 minutes, with no more than 3 accepted at once. Leaving an accepted task unanswered when its time expires incurs a 20-Ops penalty. Some responses are checked manually before Ops are credited. These conditions differ from qualifying for a survey: compare your ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines rather than treating a balance counter or minimum withdrawal as the only decision factor.
One Ops is worth €0.0082 in the shop and €0.0042 for withdrawal. These are separate uses, not an earnings bonus. A minimum bank withdrawal of 5,000 Ops represents €21, while the non-withdrawable 10,000-Ops reserve means a first minimum bank withdrawal requires a 15,000-Ops balance. Do not directly compare that required balance with a Prime Opinion reward threshold without accounting for the reserve and the different units involved.
| Ops | |
|---|---|
| Required balance | 15,000 Ops |
| Retained reserve | 10,000 Ops |
| Minimum withdrawal | 5,000 Ops |
Which Microtaches withdrawals should you compare with Prime Opinion?
The following list applies only to Microtaches, not Prime Opinion. Bank transfer requires an IBAN; if your bank does not issue one, check directly with it. A listed method does not guarantee that its provider supports receiving money in your country. Check the provider’s conditions before choosing.
| Type | Availability | Where it is used | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bank transfer (IBAN) | Bank | Available from the usual minimum | Bank account with an IBAN, in Europe or elsewhere (fixed fee outside Europe) |

Our verdict: who is Prime Opinion suitable for?
Prime Opinion is most suitable for a limited trial when your country is listed, your catalogue contains a useful reward and you accept questionnaire screening. Start with a time budget rather than an earnings target. At the end of the trial, examine the points actually credited and the remaining distance to an accessible first reward. You can decide the service is not suitable for you without concluding that it cannot be useful to anyone else.
Conversely, if you need money on a fixed date, a regular amount or access from an unconfirmed country, do not build your budget around this panel. Questions about the detailed privacy policy and closure clauses should also be resolved before substantial participation. Our recommendation remains conditional: understand the local rules, protect your data and verify a first successful redemption before allocating more time. No minimum threshold can remove uncertainty about survey fit or future availability.
An identifiable service with useful help, but local conditions need checking and survey selection remains unavoidable. No guaranteed income or universally instant payment.
- Public Stockholm contact identity.
- An explicit first-claim rule.
- Official guidance on screen-outs and restrictions.
- Thresholds and rewards vary by catalogue.
- Help pages disagree on screen-out compensation.
- Read the detailed policy and permanent-ban clauses before participating.
- Is Prime Opinion trustworthy?
- Prime Opinion has a public contact identity: its contact page lists Prime Opinion AB, care of Prime Insights AB in Stockholm. Its help centre describes rewards and restrictions. This does not guarantee each payment or your qualification. Check your catalogue, readable terms and a first successful redemption before deciding to spend more time on the service.
- What is the Prime Opinion cash-out minimum?
- The official English-language guide requires a balance of at least $5 for your first claim, even if a reward has a lower minimum. Later claims follow the selected reward’s threshold. The currency received depends on the account country, so do not apply a €5 minimum to a French account. Check the rule shown in your local catalogue before investing time in questionnaires.
- Does Prime Opinion pay through PayPal?
- Prime Opinion presents PayPal among its rewards, alongside gift cards. This does not mean PayPal appears in every catalogue or that your payment account can receive funds in your country. Check the options visible in your account and the payment provider’s conditions. A method advertised on a general page does not establish your personal access to that method or the exact local threshold.
- How long does a payout take?
- The official guide explains that a reward email starts the completion process. Some methods often finish within 30 minutes, but delivery depends on the method, bank or payment provider. This is not a guaranteed maximum. Save the claim reference, complete the genuine email instructions and contact support with the details if delivery is taking longer than expected for your chosen method.
- Why do surveys reject me?
- Studies seek specific respondent profiles, including age, location or occupation. Prime Opinion says an ordinary screen-out does not affect account standing. Reading carefully, answering honestly and using a stable connection can reduce some avoidable problems without guaranteeing qualification. Never alter your profile to fit a study: being outside its target audience is not something to fix by inventing responses or changing your stated circumstances.
- Do I earn points when screened out?
- The official pages do not fully agree. One describes a variable partial reward; another says some surveys award a few points while others award none. Do not count on compensation for every rejection. Check the questionnaire conditions and the balance actually credited. If the result appears inconsistent with what was offered, ask support for clarification and include the available survey reference.
- Can I create multiple accounts?
- No. The official policy allows one account per person for personal use. If you lose access or accidentally create a duplicate, contact support. Do not open another account to obtain more questionnaires or bypass a restriction. Resolve a verification pause through the existing account and official instructions rather than changing identity or residence. Account recovery is a different process from registering again for additional access.
- Does Prime Opinion support French-speaking African countries?
- The official selector includes Morocco in French and Arabic. Madagascar, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon and Senegal were not listed in that selector at the time of the review. Confirm eligibility for those countries with support. Ask support whether your actual residence is eligible, then check the currency and local rewards. Never select another country simply to access the service; a French interface does not imply universal Francophone availability.
- How should I protect my data?
- Read the detailed privacy policy before consenting. Check retention periods and recipients in that policy. Use a unique password, limit information shared publicly and keep security codes private. You can leave a questionnaire if a question exceeds your boundaries, even if declining leads to screening out and no full survey reward.
- Is Microtaches the same as Prime Opinion?
- No. This article assesses Prime Opinion as a survey service; Microtaches offers short micro-tasks with instructions displayed in each task. Microtaches registration is free for adults, subject to account review and a profile questionnaire. Ops, identity verification, the reserve and payment timelines follow separate rules. Availability varies, and neither model should be presented as a promise of regular income or automatically available work.
- Should I look at the balance or the reward when deciding?
- Look at both: first the credit actually earned, then the conditions of the reward you want. A balance alone does not establish how it can be used or which receiving checks apply. Choose a reward suitable for your country and needs, rather than assigning all points a universal cash value. A gift card and cash are different outcomes.
- What should I record when comparing this service with another app?
- Record total time spent, credit added and what you actually received. Include any spending, and keep cash, gift cards and discounts separate. This personal record avoids treating an advertising claim as a guaranteed result. Do not publicly share account identifiers or confidential activity content to illustrate your comparison; the outcome and time involved are enough for your own decision.
