App and notifications

Using Microtaches from a phone and taking control of the notifications you receive.

Is there a Microtaches app?

Yes, an iOS app gives access to the same account and the same tasks as the website. It requires a permanent internet connection.

Is the app available on Android?

The website works fully in an Android mobile browser and gives access to every feature. No date is announced for a dedicated app.

Do I need the app to work?

No, the website is enough on desktop and mobile alike. The app mainly adds convenience and notifications.

Does the app work offline?

No. Tasks, deadlines and balances are verified server-side, so an active internet connection is required at all times.

Do I need a separate account for the app?

No, it is the same account. Sign in with your usual credentials, including via Google or Apple.

Does my progress sync between the app and the website?

Yes, everything is stored server-side. You can start a task on one device and pick it up on the other, within the allotted time.

Does the app cost anything?

No, downloading and using it are free, with no in-app purchases.

What are push notifications for?

They alert you to events that need action or directly concern you: a new task available, a task about to expire, an approval decision, a withdrawal or order update.

Are notifications enabled by default?

Every category is enabled by default on install, provided you accepted the system permission prompt. You can then adjust everything in your preferences.

Which notification categories can I control?

New tasks, expiry reminders, approval decisions, balance movements, withdrawal and order tracking, and support messages.

Can I turn off a single category?

Yes, each category has its own switch in the notification preferences, leaving the others untouched.

Where do I set notification preferences?

From your profile, in the notifications section. Settings are tied to your account and apply across all your devices.

How does Do Not Disturb work?

It suspends notifications during a night-time window. Nothing is lost: you still find the information inside the app.

Can I change the Do Not Disturb hours?

The default window covers the night. It can be enabled or disabled from your notification preferences.

Does Do Not Disturb take my time zone into account?

It relies on your account and device information. If you travel often, make sure the country in your profile is up to date.

The app never asked for notification permission — what should I do?

Open your phone settings, go to Notifications, select the app and enable permission. Then relaunch the app so the device gets registered.

I declined notifications by mistake — can I undo it?

Yes, the system only asks once. Re-enable permission in your phone settings, then reopen the app.

I get no notifications — why?

Check in order: the system permission, your per-category preferences, Do Not Disturb, airplane or low-power mode, and finally that you are signed in to your account in the app.

I get the same notification twice — is that normal?

That happens when the same account is installed on several devices. Sign out from the devices you no longer use.

Why does a notification arrive late?

Delivery depends on the operating system's notification service and on your connection. What the app displays, however, is always current.

I got a notification for a task that was already full — why?

Tasks with limited slots close as soon as the quota is reached, sometimes seconds after the alert was sent. That is not a malfunction.

Can I get this information by email instead of notifications?

Some important information is sent by email regardless of notifications, in particular decisions about your account and payments.

I get too many emails — how do I reduce them?

Reminder emails include an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Emails related to account security and payments continue to be sent.

Am I notified when my Ops are credited?

Yes if the matching category is enabled. Either way, every movement appears in your profile's transaction history.

Will I be notified about my withdrawal progress?

Yes, status changes on a transfer request trigger a notification and are visible on the withdrawals page.

Am I notified when my identity verification is processed?

Yes, the decision is notified and shown on the verification page, including the reason if it is rejected.

Do shop orders trigger notifications?

Yes, on each order status change. The full details remain available in the orders tab.

What happens when I tap a notification?

The app opens directly on the relevant screen: the task, the order or the withdrawal request in question.

Can I install the app on several devices?

Yes, as long as they are yours and it is the same account. Using several accounts on one device, however, is not allowed.

What should I do when I change phone?

Install the app on the new device and sign in: your data follows the account. Sign out on the old phone to avoid duplicate notifications.

The app closes by itself — what should I do?

Fully close and reopen it, check for available updates and restart the device if needed. If it persists, describe it to support with your device model and OS version.

The app shows a blank page — why?

That is almost always a connection issue at startup. Check your network, then relaunch the app.

Why am I signed out regularly?

Sessions expire for security reasons, and changing your password signs out every device. Just sign back in.

Can I use the app in English?

Yes, the worker interface is bilingual French and English. The language switch is in the app menu.

Does the app use a lot of data?

Everyday use is light, comparable to browsing a website. Tasks that display rich content use more.

Does the app drain the battery in the background?

No, it does no background processing beyond receiving notifications, whose energy cost is minimal.

Can every task be done on mobile?

Most can, but some require more comfortable input and are easier on a computer. The instructions shown tell you when that is the case.

Is the remaining time shown on mobile?

Yes, a remaining-time bar is permanently displayed while you work on a task, on mobile as well as desktop.

Do I need to update the app?

Yes, keep it updated: bug fixes and new screens arrive through App Store updates.

Does uninstalling the app delete my account?

No. Uninstalling only removes the app from the device; your account, balance and history remain intact.
