How the catalogue actually works: acceptance, deadlines, expected proof, validation and rejection reasons.
What kinds of missions does Microtaches offer?
Missions cover social engagement (reviews, comments, interactions), verified video viewing, tool and extension testing, information lookup and AI model training. The catalogue changes with client campaigns.
How do I accept a task?
From the catalogue, open the task and confirm acceptance: it moves to “My tasks” and its countdown starts. No deadline runs until you accept.
Why is the name of some tasks blurred?
The real name is hidden in the catalogue to protect the client's identity until the task is accepted. It is shown in full as soon as you accept, along with the complete instructions.
How many tasks can I have in progress at once?
The number of simultaneous active tasks is capped to avoid mass acceptance followed by abandonment. Finish or let one expire before accepting a new one.
How long do I have to complete a task?
Each mission has its own deadline, shown before acceptance then as a countdown while you work. The deadline is computed server-side, so it does not depend on your device clock.
Can I cancel a task I accepted?
There is no cancel button: an accepted task is either submitted or left to expire. Letting it expire with nothing submitted triggers an Ops penalty, so only accept what you intend to do.
Why did I lose Ops on an expired task?
A task accepted then abandoned without submission blocks a slot for other workers, so a penalty applies automatically. If you submitted before the deadline, the task goes to review and no penalty is due.
Can an expired task be reactivated?
No, the expired status is final and the task can no longer be submitted. If the mission allows redoing, it may reappear in the catalogue after the set cooldown.
I cannot see the remaining time on mobile — is that normal?
No: a timer bar is shown at the top of the flow in the task detail, on mobile as on desktop. If it does not appear, reload the page; the reference time comes from the server.
Can I switch tabs or apps during a task?
Yes, and it is often required for missions that send you to an external site. Your progress in the flow is kept when you come back, including after the app is backgrounded on mobile.
What are the control questions for?
They prove the mission was genuinely done: they ask about a detail only a real participant would know. An empty, off-topic or too-short answer fails validation.
What is the difference between automatic and manual validation?
With automatic validation, technical checks are enough and Ops are credited as soon as the submission passes. With manual validation, a team member reviews the answer before crediting, which takes longer.
How long before a task is validated?
Automatically validated tasks are credited immediately. Manually reviewed ones stay in the “under review” status while the check is done, visible in “My tasks”.
My task was rejected — how do I know why?
The rejection reason is shown on the task itself in “My tasks”. The most frequent causes are instructions not followed, missing proof and content identical to another worker's.
Can I dispute a rejection?
Yes, through the help bubble, stating the task name and what you actually did, with a screenshot. If the rejection turns out to be unjustified, the task is set back to approved and the Ops are credited.
Can an approved task be cancelled later?
Yes, quality audits are run afterwards at clients' request. If a submission turns out to be non-compliant, the task is set to rejected and the matching Ops are removed.
Why is my text rejected as “already used”?
Submitted texts are compared across workers: two reviews or comments that are too similar get rejected, because clients need unique content. Rewrite in your own words with a personal angle instead of reusing a template.
The system flags a duplicate although I copied nothing — what now?
Check that the field actually contains your own text and not a generic answer copied from the instructions. If the block persists on a mission without any writing, report it to support with the task name.
Can I use AI to write my answers?
Only on missions that explicitly allow it, in which case a built-in generator is offered inside the flow. On the others, an obviously generated text is rejected.
How does the built-in writing helper work?
It drafts a text from the mission context, which you must read and personalise before submitting. The text remains your responsibility: an untouched draft risks being flagged as too similar to another one.
How does a business listing review mission work?
The flow guides you step by step: open the listing, write a personal review, publish it, then provide proof. Generic or copied reviews are rejected at review time.
How does a review-platform mission work?
You follow a multi-step flow that checks, among other things, that the link you provide points to the right site. A link on a different domain than expected is blocked before submission.
How does a video viewing mission work?
Watch time is measured server-side: the video must genuinely be watched, without skipping, before the next step unlocks. Once viewing is verified, remember to submit the task before the deadline.
Does watch time count if my phone goes to sleep?
No, playback must stay active on screen to be counted. On mobile, locking the screen or switching apps pauses the video and the counter with it.
What does a browser extension mission involve?
You install the extension from the official link provided, use it once, then confirm the installation in the flow. An optional review may be offered as a bonus and is never mandatory.
Can I uninstall the extension after the mission?
Yes, nothing requires you to keep it once the task is approved. Just wait for validation so a check does not find the installation missing.
Why does a mission others see not appear for me?
Some missions are restricted to worker groups defined by criteria (country, language, profile, history). Completing your demographic profile increases the number of missions you qualify for.
Why does a task disappear from the catalogue?
Most missions have a limited number of slots per period and leave the catalogue once full. They can come back later if the client renews the campaign.
Can I redo a mission I already completed?
Only if the mission allows redoing, and after the stated cooldown. Otherwise the mission is no longer offered to your account.
Can I hide a mission type I am not interested in?
Yes, you can decline a mission type from its introduction and it stops appearing in your catalogue. You can reverse that choice later from the same mission.
What if the instructions are unclear?
Ask through the help bubble before submitting rather than improvising: an off-instruction answer gets rejected. Mention the task name to get a targeted reply.
Why is my link rejected although it works?
Some missions expect a link on a specific domain and reject any other site, even a valid one. Check the domain stated in the instructions and copy the full address from the browser bar.
When two links are requested, must they be different?
Yes, two strictly identical links are rejected, but they must stay on the same site when the instructions require it. Open another page of that site and copy its address.
Do I need to provide a screenshot?
Only when the mission explicitly asks for one in its flow. Still keep a screenshot on your side: it is the most useful evidence if you dispute a rejection.
Submission shows an error — did I lose my work?
No, as long as the deadline has not passed you can retry from the same page. If the error persists, note the exact time and message and contact support before the deadline.
What happens if I lose my connection during a task?
The task stays active server-side and the deadline keeps running. Reconnect and reopen the task from “My tasks”: your progress in the flow is restored.
Where can I see my task history?
In “My tasks”, which lists tasks in progress, under review, approved and expired with their dates. The Statistics page gives an aggregated view of your activity and earnings.
What does a featured task mean?
It is a mission the client prioritises, pinned at the top of the catalogue. It is neither harder nor better paid by nature: the reward is the one shown on the task page.
Is it better to rush through tasks or take care with each one?
Take care with each one: sloppy submissions get rejected and cost more time than they save. Consistent, compliant submissions unlock access to more missions.
Can someone contact me off-platform about a mission?
No, missions are never offered via private message, WhatsApp or Telegram. Any such approach in the name of Microtaches is a scam attempt and should be reported to support.
Can a mission require me to pay upfront?
No, never. No legitimate mission asks for a purchase, deposit, transfer or banking credentials: refuse and report it immediately.
