Ops and earnings

The platform's internal currency: how Ops are earned, valued, spent and, sometimes, removed.

What exactly is an Ops?

Ops is the internal unit of account on Microtaches, credited for each approved task. Its value depends on how you use it: €0.0082 per Ops in the shop and €0.0042 per Ops for a bank transfer.

Why is the shop rate better than the transfer rate?

The shop avoids banking processing fees and benefits from negotiated supplier terms, which allows a higher value. Bank transfers carry payment and compliance costs.

How much are 1,000 Ops worth?

1,000 Ops are worth €8.20 when spent in the shop and €4.20 when converted to a bank transfer. The public calculator lets you test other amounts.

When are Ops credited?

When the task reaches approved status: immediately for automatic validation, after review for manual validation. The credit is recorded in your transaction history with the matching reason.

Where do I see my balance and history?

Your balance appears on the dashboard and on the Profile page, which also lists recent transactions. The Statistics page details how your earnings evolve over time.

My balance does not match my approved tasks — what should I do?

First check your transaction history: expiry penalties, shop purchases and pending withdrawals reduce the balance without showing as tasks. If the gap remains unexplained, report it to support with a precise date.

Do Ops expire?

No, Ops do not expire and stay yours as long as the account is active. They are, however, lost if the account is blocked for breaching the terms.

Can I transfer my Ops to another worker?

No, Ops are strictly personal and cannot be transferred between accounts. Any attempt to transfer or resell an account leads to a block.

How is a task's reward set?

It is set per mission based on estimated time and client requirements, then displayed in Ops on the task page before acceptance. The amount shown is what gets credited on approval.

Why do two similar tasks pay differently?

The amount depends on the client campaign, the difficulty and the level of proof required, not just the duration. A more demanding or rarer mission is valued higher.

How much can I earn per month?

It depends entirely on how many missions match your profile and how much time you spend; no income is guaranteed. The public calculator gives you an order of magnitude based on your availability.

Does Microtaches guarantee a minimum income?

No, there is no guaranteed minimum income and no obligation to supply a volume of missions. Pay is tied to tasks actually completed and approved.

What bonuses exist besides tasks?

A one-off bonus rewards completing the demographic profile, and a monthly ranking rewards the top contributors of the month. These bonuses appear in your history with a reason distinct from tasks.

How is the monthly ranking calculated?

It is based on net earnings for the current month, excluding previous ranking bonuses, and updates continuously. Only the ranking frozen at month end gives entitlement to a reward.

Is the displayed ranking final?

No, it is provisional throughout the month and changes with every task approved across all workers. Your position can therefore move until the last day.

What are levels for?

They reflect your progress and gate access to some features, such as part of the shop catalogue. They do not change the value of Ops you already earned.

Do badges earn Ops?

No, badges are purely symbolic and mark milestones reached. Only approved tasks and explicit bonuses credit Ops.

In which cases can I lose Ops?

By letting an accepted task expire with nothing submitted, and when an approved task is invalidated after a quality audit. An account block resets the balance to zero.

Can my balance go negative?

No, the balance cannot fall below zero: a penalty larger than the available balance is capped. You never owe money to the platform.

What can I do with my Ops?

Two options: spend them in the shop (gift cards and products) at the better rate, or request a bank transfer. You are not locked into one route and can alternate.

Is there a minimum to convert my Ops?

Yes for bank transfers: at least 5,000 Ops per request, and a reserve of 10,000 Ops stays non-convertible on the account. The shop has no threshold beyond the price of the item.

Why is there a non-convertible reserve?

It ensures a balance stays available to absorb adjustments after quality audits, without creating a negative balance. It is not lost: it stays on the account and can be spent in the shop.

How do I estimate what I will actually receive?

Start from your convertible balance (balance minus the reserve), apply the transfer rate, then subtract any country-related fees. The request summary shows the net amount before you confirm.

Are Ops taxable before they are converted?

This depends on your personal tax situation and the law of your country of residence. The tax guide published on the site covers the French case; when in doubt, check with your tax authority.

Can I get a statement of my earnings?

Your transaction history and the Statistics page act as the record of your activity, available at any time. For a dated document intended for an institution, ask support.

Can I be paid in cryptocurrency?

Not at the moment. Available payout methods, and those announced as coming, are listed on the Withdrawals page, with no promised launch date.

Is PayPal payout available?

It is listed among the methods announced as coming and is not open today. The Withdrawals page shows in real time what is active for your country.

Does Microtaches take a commission on my earnings?

No commission is taken on the Ops you earn. Only fixed banking fees may apply to transfers outside the European area, shown before you confirm.

Does an exchange rate apply if I am outside the euro area?

Amounts are computed in euros and the conversion into your currency is done by your bank, at its own rate. A small gap between the announced and received amount is therefore normal.

Can the conversion rates change?

They are fixed and published publicly; any change would be announced before taking effect. Ops already earned are not recalculated retroactively.

Do earnings from several missions add up freely?

Yes, there is no earnings cap on the platform itself. Only conversion to bank transfer is subject to a regulatory annual cap.

Do I get Ops back for a rejected task?

No, a rejected task carries no reward, since the deliverable is unusable for the client. If you believe the rejection is unjustified, dispute it with your evidence.

I was credited twice — should I report it?

Yes, report it: discrepancies are caught during ledger consistency checks and corrected afterwards. Reporting it yourself avoids being surprised by a later adjustment.

Why do a few cents disappear in conversions?

Ops are whole units and euro amounts are rounded to two decimals for display. Any gap is therefore limited to a few cents.

Are my earnings visible to other workers?

No, your balance and history are private. Only a ranking, limited to positions and not amounts, is visible in the rewards area.

My task is approved but the balance did not move — why?

The display refreshes when the page loads: reload or switch pages to see the new balance. If the transaction is still missing from your history after a few minutes, report it.

How do I access the better-paid missions?

By completing your demographic profile, which unlocks eligibility for more groups, and by keeping a clean record of compliant submissions. Demanding missions are reserved for reliable profiles.

Why not display euros directly?

The Ops unit lets a single balance reflect two different valuations depending on use, shop or transfer. Euro equivalents are still shown wherever a conversion is offered.

How do I know whether a mission is worth the time?

Compare the Ops offered with the estimated duration on the task page, then convert using the rate for your intended use. The public calculator does this for a given number of hours.

Can the displayed reward change after I accept?

No, the amount that counts is the one shown when you accepted the task. A later change to the mission only applies to new acceptances.
